Recall petition

COA recall petition submitted to board. Needed 10 signatures. Had 10 signatures. However during validation of signatures, 1 was invalid.

Petition denied.

Now another petition is submitted and they wish to add to previous denied petition.

Can this be done or new petition 10 valid signatures?

    Fae,
The petition is for the board to call a special meeting of the members for the purpose of recalling one or more directors. You need 25% of the community to sign that petition to force the association to take that action. Once they get the validated signatures, they have 30 days to call the meeting. You have 9 valid signatures so one more signature is all that is required to satisfy the law. They do not have to be on the same piece of paper as long as the petition request statement is duplicated on all sheets containing signatures.
