AZLEG.gov when bills dont appear…/
Dennis, I am registered with AZLEG.gov and signed in to support your position requests per your altests Legislative Update. Only 2 of the 5 bills you requested support for (one way or the other) came up for me to registed my opinion. They were HB2084 (against) and HB2570 (for). I’m curious, when the other bills returned ‘not shown on any agenda’ how can I know when to return to register my opinion?

There are two separate and distinct functions of the AZLEG.gov request to speak program on that website. The first is called “My bill Positions”. With this menu item you can post a position on any bill as soon as it is introduced and as long as the session is active. This function, post your support or opposition to the bill file and becomes a permanent record for that bill. You can change your position anytime the bill is active as it goes thru the session. When I ask anyone to post a position this is the function to use.
The second function is the “New Request” function that allows anyone to “Request to speak” to any committee once that bill is placed on an agenda for a specific committee meeting. This function allows you to tell the specific committee what you feel about that bill and allows you 210 characters to add a specific comment for the committee members. You can also indicate if you wish to actually speak to the committee in person or not. This function only last thru the committee hearing, is visible and looked at by every committee member but goes away after the committee meeting. When I ask anyone to post a “Request to Speak” to a committee this is the function to use.
You were trying to post a position but were using the “new Request ” menu item and function.
I know it is confusing that is why I had step by step tutorials built that are available on this web site under the “Legislation” tab.

I read the step-by-step instructions but missed the directions to on which to use depending on which activity you ask for us to do.
BTW, in request to speak should I always post that I will speak if necessary on every position?
