Steps to hold a Town Hall meeting

I am a board member and would like to discuss an urgent issue regarding the board. I requested they schedule a Special Meeting– it seems as I am not an office holder, I can not initiate it myself– but my request is being ignored. Since it is my duty to represent the homeowners and ensure they are aware of issues relevant to their interests, I seem only to have recourse to calling a Town Hall meeting.

I have done several online searches but am not finding any specific instruction for the procedure including how homeowners can be notified or the required procedures of rules meetings should follow. I would appreciate a link or any step-by-step process you could recommend.

Thank you.

The meeting you are discussing is simply an informal meeting of members. This is exactly the subject of HB 2158 that is awaiting the Governor’s signature. While not currently law the bill provides you the guidance you need.

So by reading the text of the law I have a blueprint of how to proceed having an informal meeting even before it is signed? Otherwise I am confused on how to proceed…

    Thank you.
