HB 2119 signed into law in April
Hi Dennis…with this bill signed into law, the HOA is prohibited from charging a transfer fee between related or unrelated parties when a home is sold in a planned community. Is that correct? When does this go into effect?

The statute will prevent associations from charging a title transfer fee for title transfers between related parties including commercially related parties like trust and LLC’s. it will become effective 90 days, after the legislative session ends, which has not yet ended.
