Violation notices

All indications from the BOD’s point to my being denied review of our HOA violation notices, claiming they are confidential and personal. I saw this issue posted before and now I would like to contact someone at the state level to address what I believe is a violation of my rights to review HOA documents.

Thank you

    Chevy,

There is no state-level agency enforcing the statutes governing these communities. You are, however, free to file a petition with the Arizona Dept. of Real Estate to have an Administrative law judge enforce the law. Violation notices and any associated fine or penalty are public information and are neither personal nor financial information of the homeowners. Associations take this stand not because it is legal but because it allows them to hide their enforcement actions.
