Can an HOA President also be the Treasurer
The President of our Board is also the Treasurer. Our governing documents have not been updated since 2006. I cannot find any information addressing this issue.

Your bylaws typically address this issue, depending on the number of board members you have. There are typically 4 officers in an association but there could be as few as 3 board members. In those cases someone has to have to officer titles. From every set of bylaws that I’ve ever seen the President is never allowed to hold two officer positions, but the vice president and treasurer can. This is simple common sense based on responsibility. Obviously if you have 5 board members there is absolutely no need for any of the board members to have two officer titles.
