Election rules
This election we are requiring sealed paper ballots.
One of our Board members and a candidate has a professional relationship with a homeowner who was 10 units on our facility .
This candidate performs all business for this homeowner. So this homeowners mailing address is the same as the candidates.
So would the ballots be disqualified?

Josepha,
You are being intentionally vague in this question. Are you saying that the candidate lives with someone that owns ten units in the community? Is the candidate a co-owner of the unit in which they reside or in any of the 10 units owned by the other person? Whatever business or personal relationship between the candidate and the specified unit owner is irrelevant and actually none of your business. The only issue of concern in this election, is whether the candidate is an eligible owner, pursuant to your governing documents. The question of eligibility should have been established prior to any name being placed on the ballot. Once a ballot is cast it is cast and cannot be disqualified. There is a very big difference between an eligible candidate and an eligible ballot. What makes a ballot valid is totally different from what makes a candidate eligible to run.
Please clarify and I’ll answer your question.
