While it’s too late for this year, I was wondering if you’d consider trying to strike/change this provision in ARS 33-1804; ” such rules shall not preclude such audiotaping or videotaping by those attending, unless the board audiotapes or videotapes the meeting and makes the unedited audiotapes or videotapes available to members on request without restrictions on their use as evidence in any dispute resolution process.”

Here’s why. Our management company and board are incompetent, technically. I would neve trust them to reliably run a zoom meeting. So, here’s a dangerous scenario: The CM “records” the meeting, so the board prohibits member recording. Then the board/CM don’ t like what was said and , oops, they had a glitch, and not everything was recorded, it was accidentally not saved, or it did not pick up all the voices of everyone. To me, there just seems to be too many ways where homeowners could get screwed by this.

Instead, why not simplify the statute to simply say members have the right to record — period — and do not have to give notice?
