leaf pollution — any recourse
facing a new problem. Have had vacant lots on both sides for years. Recently, new houses constructed and landscaped. My own landscape is xeroscaped with gravel and drought-resistant plants. New neighbors have planted deciduous trees along their lot lines. Expect major fall deposition of leaves into my yard.
Past experience is that raking leaves with a yard full of grave is impossible. Don’t have a blower and would hope not to have to hire someone to come in and clear away the leaves. Any recourse?

Any recourse that you may have must be contained in your governing documents. If there are no restrictions in your CC&Rs on planting deciduous trees, then your neighbor is free to plant anything he/she want. You are also free to ask your neighbor to blow any leaf debris off your yard in the fall if they refuse, then you are free to buy a leaf blower and help them along and blow all their leaves off your property and onto theirs.
Because you don’t like something does not require someone else to do something. They are responsible for the debris from any trees on their property. A hundred-dollar leaf blower is considerably cheaper than filing suit against your neighbor to remove his leaves.
