Pool age rules
Happy New Year! Our HOA is revising our “pool rules” and currently our sign says “no one under 14 allowed unless accompanied by an adult.” Is this in violation of Fair Housing Act?” Thanks for all your help and insight!

This does not violate the fair housing act relative to age discrimination. It is a logical safety issue and protects the association from liability. It also ensures that unsupervised younger children do not make it uncomfortable for other residents trying to use the pool.
